Joseph Myers
Invention and story are the heart of Joe's work. He is a filmmaker, a consultant to lawyers, and a product designer. As a partner in storyshop films he recently directed the award-winning documentaries “Whatever Dreams They Had” (2024), and “What Will Become of Us” (2020), both airing on PBS. His body of work addresses domestic violence, human rights law, cultural survival, and sustainability – and has been seen on PBS, WORLD, Discovery, and internationally. Honors include Regional Emmys, The LA Press Club, and notable festival acceptances. As a co-founder of TrialStory, Joe consults with lawyers to help them craft authentic persuasion rooted in a common understanding of human nature. Backed by modern neuroscience, the protocol he co-developed guides lawyers in finding the character-based trial story that creates inevitability of outcome in the courtroom. As a lifelong maker, his interest in problem-solving led him to create a better clear ice system – becoming Ice.Made.Clear™. He successfully crowdfunded the product and built a direct to consumer brand and design company - movingimage llc. Along with his team he now works on a portfolio of products that offer customers inventive experiences – with ice and beyond. Joe spends his leisure time long-distance cycling, backpacking, travelling with his spouse Amy, and petting his dog Benjamin. Joe believes that good stories change minds.
